It is that time of year where we are all scrambling to find the perfect gift. Of course, you could buy someone flowers or give them chocolate but why not go to the extra mile? Like all the way to the Cosmos in our galaxy better known as the Milky Way. I mean – how cool is that? Did you know that you could officially name a star? The International Star Registry ® can make this dream come true for you.
All I had to do when naming my star was decide on the name. This could be anyone – your boyfriend, girlfriend, boss, cat or dog. I didn’t choose Teddy Brewski but Melany Wynn, which I thought sounded like a rock star and is my first and middle name. Mom also named me that because she thought it sounded melodic and lessened the harshness of my last name. Then, I chose a date that corresponds to my name (my parents anniversary which also happens to be the day I was born) and The International Star Registry® did the rest.
Naming stars since 1979, The International Star Registry has named stars after celebrities, dignitaries, and more special people like you worldwide. They have named thousands of stars and you should have one too, right? I know all my readers are rock – stars! Plus, the star names are copyrighted with their coordinates in the book to ensure “Your Place in the Cosmos,” to last for generations to come. What is even cooler is if you search “Melany Wynn” in the official directory it shows you my coordinates. My star shines bright in the Cygnus constellation and means, “Swan” and I think represents me pretty darn well. This International Star Registry® Photographic Sky Chart that was sent to me is unique to the star I named and individually produced in full color for everyone’s viewing pleasure.
Check it out.
My package came super fast too. I opened it up and was super stoked to see this cool certificate with my star’s name, the coordinates, a map showing the exact location and a booklet to explain more. Since living in Arizona, I have an acute appreciation of the beauty stars shine over us and believe I have a few guardian angels riding on my star watching over me.
Now, with the help of the International Star Registry I can locate exactly where that star is and will forever be the proud owner of Melany Wynn in the Milky Way.
What do you get someone who has everything? A star! This will make you the most popular person at your holiday party and can pretty much guarantee knock the socks of anyone else’s gift.
So, guess what? The International Star Registry ® wants to give two stars away on this blog? Cool right? I know you are all stars but let’s see who the lucky winners are for this giveaway. You better send pics. BTW – think of what name and date you want and wish on a lucky star to win this prize!
